Crumlin
Sportsmen’s Association is pleased to offer you a new Introduction to Dynamic
Shotgun course. This one-day, highly
interactive course will introduce you to safe and practical shotgun shooting. You will build a solid foundation of safety, knowledge,
and skills to enhance your capacity as a shotgun sport shooter.
Course Objectives:
This course provides students with theory,
and basic knowledge and skills necessary to safely handle, load, fire
and unload pump action or semi-auto shotguns. Students will be guided
through various shotgun types and equipment functionality options, with explanations
and demonstrations of the capabilities, and the pros and cons of each will be
covered.
You will be engaged in both classroom and
on-range format in a safe and relaxed learning environment. Students will
be guided through an overview of club rules, safe shotgun handling procedures, target
engagement, and dry-fire and live-fire exercises/drills to increase shooter
comfort level and develop a solid skill base.
Who Should Attend?
This course is available to Crumlin
members, and is ideal for anyone new to
shotgun shooting, or those with minimal
experience in shotgun shooting. This course is limited to the first 12 Crumlin members who
register and pay to attend.
Who Are the Instructors?
The Instructional
Team consists of current/active, and retired Law Enforcement and Military personnel,
and experienced Action/Sport shooters.
The Team has over 85 years of combined Police and Military firearms training
and action shooting competition experience. Your instructors are also
passionate about safety, hunting, sport, and action shooting disciplines,
including Multi-Gun, IPSC, IDPA, PPC, and PRS.

When and where is the training?
The training
will take place on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. We will
be at the Crumlin Sportsmen’s Association on ranges #10 and #11.
Meet at the Clubhouse
at 8:30 am.
What is the cost?
The fee for the
course is $200.00 per person.
This includes
course instruction, course materials, targets, and ammunition.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring
your pump or semi-auto shotgun (12 gauge only), cased and properly secure for
transport to the club.
We will be
outdoors for a large portion of the course, so please wear suitable clothing
for a variety of weather conditions, comfortable shoes/boots for safe movement
on outdoor surfaces. Eye and ear protection is mandatory.
Lunch will
not be provided. Please bring a lunch and also bring
snacks and beverages for breaks to maintain energy levels.
